What not to wear

Among the plethora of information not included on the invitation was a dress code. This was excluded for two reasons; one, we don't really know what they mean, and two, we forgot.

So now you've excused our ignorance/forgetfulness, please take note that the dress code for the event is to be fancy picnic country semi-formal (sure it exists). Remember that it's going to be warm, there is a picnic (i.e sitting on the ground) involved AND mandatory activities for which your feet would appreciate flat shoes.

That said, if you like a challenge, wear heels.

Bring a hat, or parasol, be as whimsical as your heart desires, but remember to dress up; come on peeps, make an effort. That means no 'fancy' jeans fellas.

Much love

Lauremy.

I'm still not convinced that anyone has actually seen this blog, so I feel comfortable sharing my innermost thoughts.

I like cheese.

Anyway, besides that, if a real live human does happen to chance this blog (or even better, actually deliberately checks it out) and said human has questions about the wedding, then please comment!

Getting to Toowoomba

First blogging day, third blog already. It must be blogging love...

So YOU are to be an honorary Poowoombian, sorry Toowoombian (Toowoombite?) for a weekend.
Perhaps the most frequently asked question regarding our wedding (three questions so far, yes we feel special) is 'What is the best way to get to Toowoomba?'

No, there is no airport (well there is, but you probably have to be a rich grazier to be able to afford the mulah to transit via there).

Best bet is to fly to Brisbane and catch a coach or hire a car to get up to Toowoomba. You're looking at just under a 2hr drive to get up the range to the garden city.

Another option is to fly to the Gold Coast airport, which is just over 2 hours drive to Toowoomba.

The two main bus service to/from Toowoomba are http://www.ttcoaches.com.au/ - these guys offer $10 tickets, and if I remember correctly, offer chocolates to make the really exciting trip up the mountain, EVEN more exciting.

If you have an omnibus reputation to protect, then Greyhound is for you: http://www.greyhound.com.au/

Both services depart from Roma Street, in Brisbane city. You can catch a train from the airport straight to Roma St.

If you want the roadtrip of a lifetime, then there are a few different routes you can take. The coast route is at least an hour or two longer, but there is a lot more to look at. Including giant bananas, rams & prawns.

If you are thinking about driving up, and you have a few spare seats, let us know and we'll endeavour to fill any spots. Likewise if you are chasing a seat.

Inland via the Newell (via Dubbo) is probably the quickest, but also loneliest. And then there is the middle route via New England Highway.

So that should satisfy your transportational urges. Happy to field any further enquiries

Cheers!

Just thought we'd leave you with a snapshot of lovely Toowoomba. By gosh, if you weren't excited before, then you will be now!

Hello Hello!

If you've made it this far then we must of done something right. Our intention for creating this blog is primarily to share information, not so much to subject you all to our hopes/dreams/excitedness/nervousness/dramas/flower problems/caterer angst all stemming from our upcoming nuptials.

If at any stage you are wanting more infomation about places to stay, travel instructions, RSVP dates etc. then this will be the place to come.

Until next time
